RTA: Bulgarian transport licence check
RTA (Bulgarian Road Transport Administration) publishes domestic and international goods transport licence lists keyed by EIK. On booking day, confirm the EIK appears with the right registry line for your lane, read certified copy counts, and treat sanctions columns as review signals.
How to check an RTA Bulgarian transport licence step by step
RTA publishes public register lists from a hub page rather than a single search form, so you open the relevant list and find the operator by EIK (UIC).
Step 1: open the RTA registers hub page
Go to RTA Bulgarian transport licence lists. This hub page links to the international goods transport list and the domestic goods transport list.
Step 2: pick the list that matches your lane
Open the international goods list for cross-border EU lanes, or the domestic goods list for haulage inside Bulgaria. Each list is a long table published as one page, not a search box.
Step 3: find the company by its EIK
Use your browser find function, Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmd+F on Mac, and search for the company EIK (UIC). The list can hold several thousand rows, so a manual scroll is impractical.
Step 4: read the matched row
The row shows the licence number, the company name and EIK, the named transport manager, the count of certified vehicle copies, address region or municipality where shown, and any sanctions or violation notes for that licence.
A high sanctions count or listed violations is not automatic proof of fraud, but it is a reason to review before you approve the carrier.
Step 5: save the row with the date
Take a screenshot of the matched row with the date you checked it. RTA republishes these lists periodically, so a saved copy is your record of what the register showed on booking day.
Certica
Don't want to do this on every booking?
Certica pulls data from the same registers, checks it, and shows a clear result: what is OK, and what needs clarifying before loading.
