Infotrans public register: check a French licence by SIREN
Infotrans is France’s public road transport register. Search the operator by SIREN on booking day at Infotrans public search, confirm marchandises registration, and read the community licence (LC) number, valid-from and valid-until dates, certified copy count, and the transport manager (responsable). An active SIRENE company without an Infotrans licence line is not haulage rights.
How to check an Infotrans French transport licence step by step
This is the public operator search at Infotrans public search. No account or fee is required.
Step 1: open the Infotrans public search
Go to Infotrans public search. The public search has no captcha. Keep the SIREN of the company on the invoice, not a group brand or a related SIRET you have not checked.
If the carrier sent only a French VAT number, strip the FR prefix and use the nine-digit SIREN.
Step 2: enter the SIREN and run the search
Type the SIREN and submit. Infotrans returns the operator when that identifier is listed as a road transport undertaking.
No result is a pause. A live SIRENE entry without an Infotrans line does not prove haulage rights.
Step 3: read marchandises registration and LC validity
Confirm the record shows marchandises registration for goods transport. Then read the community licence (LC) number, valid-from date, and valid-until date.
Compare the valid-until date to your pickup date, not to today. A licence that lapses before the load is a hard stop.
Step 4: read certified copies, commissionnaire flag, and the transport manager
Check the certified copy count against the fleet story you were given. A one-copy line next to a multi-truck offer needs a direct question before cargo details go out.
Note whether commissionnaire is also registered, and read the transport manager (responsable) on the record. Match that name to the person on the booking when Infotrans publishes it.
Step 5: save the result with the date
Infotrans does not email a confirmation. Save a screenshot or print of the result with the date you checked it, and keep it with the load file.
Certica
Don't want to do this on every booking?
Certica pulls data from the same registers, checks it, and shows a clear result: what is OK, and what needs clarifying before loading.
Red flags and common mistakes
SIRENE active but no Infotrans transport register entry
The contracting entity does not appear as a licensed road transport operator. Pause before cargo details go out.
Community licence missing or expired
Hard stop on a cross-border lane until a current LC line covers the pickup date.
Certified copy count does not match the fleet story
Could be wrong truck assignment or subcontracting without disclosure. Clarify before loading.
Commissionnaire listing only
May indicate a broker role rather than an asset haulier. Requires review against how you contract capacity.

No. SIRENE confirms company identity and status. Infotrans confirms road transport rights. You need both before you assign a load.
